Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the French professional soccer team where national soccer team's 'ace' Lee Kang-in plays, has released a new 'Korean uniform' to celebrate the 578th Hangeul Day.

On the 9th, PSG revealed the uniform through their official social media, saying, "To celebrate Korea's Hangeul Day, we are releasing a limited edition kit with Hangeul in it." A picture of Lee Kang-in holding the uniform was also included.

Paris Saint-Germain, a prestigious French professional football team, had previously released a uniform with Korean letters after recruiting Lee Kang-in in July of last year.

Late last year and in March of this year, players wore Korean uniforms during games, and this uniform has a different design that reflects the meaning of Hangeul Day.

The names of Lee Kang-in and other players are written in Korean, such as 'Vitinha' and 'Dembele', and their jersey numbers are marked with a Hunminjeongeum pattern. The fact that the lower part of the numbers is connected with a tiger pattern is also eye-catching.

On that day, PSG also posted a separate message on its feed saying, "PSG celebrates and congratulates the 578th Hangeul Day on October 9, 2024."

Lee Kang-in appeared in a video produced by the club and said, "I hope you have a fun and meaningful day."

Lee Kang-in, who came on as a second-half substitute in the away match against Nice in French Ligue 1 on the 7th, joined the national team training in Amman, Jordan, and began preparations for the third match of the 스포츠 2026 North and Central American World Cup Asian third qualifying round against Jordan on the 10th.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur, the team of 'Captain' Son Heung-min, who was unable to join the national team for this October's A-match due to injury, also posted on social media on the same day, "Today is a proud Hangeul Day. I am truly happy to be able to communicate and be together with you through Hangeul," to celebrate Hangeul Day.

During this international match, defender Kim Min-jae, who will be captaining the German team Bayern Munich in place of Son Heung-min, posted a video on social media of Leroy Sane and Aleksandar Pavlovic practicing Korean words such as "Ganada" and "Everyone."

Manchester City, an English team that has many fans but does not have any Korean players, also posted congratulatory messages in Korean on social media.
